Saturday, September 23, 2017 - 7:00pm
Diana Chapman Walsh Alumnae Hall Auditorium

Navarasa Dance Theater’s innovative classical and contemporary work roots itself in Indian performing arts yet reaches to audiences all around the world. Based on Ingmar Bergman’s classic film The Seventh Seal, Snake and Ladder takes on complex issues such as war and PTSD, showing on stage how the healing power of art helps us survive tragedies and brings us hope.

Original music, set design, and video take audiences into the world of a prince, an artist, war, and death, but leave them with the hope of life. Directed by Dr. Aparna Sindhoor, Anil Natyaveda, and S.M. Raju.

Generously supported by the Treves Fund, the Suzy Newhouse Center for the Humanities, and the departments of Art, Sociology, South Asia Studies, Theatre, and Women’s and Gender Studies.
