Acclaimed pianist, educator, and director of the SF Jazz Education Program, Rebecca Mauleon will be in residence for an immersive week of Afro-Cuban and diasporic musics, in preparation for Chucho Valdés’ visit on April 15.

Yanvalou Drum and Dance Ensemble will perform the folkloric music and dance of Africa, as it exists today throughout Africa and the African Diaspora, particularly in Haiti, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Brazil.
