The Admission Office team gathered yesterday to stuff and seal envelopes containing official acceptance letters and welcome packets, but paused for a bit for photos holding signs welcoming the Class of 2020! The official packets will go into the mail today, but newly-admitted students received online notification yesterday evening.

"After receiving a record number of applications for the Class of 2020, we are elated to make our offers of admission," said Joy St. John, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. "The Board of Admission was humbled by the extraordinary talent, passion, and promise of this admitted class. We look forward to connecting with these students over the next month as they make their final college choice."

Newly admitted students took to social media to express their excitement using the hashtag #Wellesley2020. They were welcomed by alumnae, current students, and also their sisters in the Class of 2020 who received Early Decision notifications in December.

There will be plenty of opportunities for admitted students to connect with campus in the coming weeks, including Spring Open Campus, April 11-12, where students can "attend thrilling classes; admire the greatness of other admitted students; attend reassuring and/or inspiring panels; tour our 500-acre campus; stay overnight in our residence halls; and meet current students, faculty, and alumnae."

The online notification letter concluded with this: "To us, every new class is a gift: a few hundred of the most talented, community-minded, multidimensional women on the planet. We are excited, very excited, that you will be a part of the Wellesley community and look forward to welcoming you in the fall."

Welcome to Wellesley, Class of 2020!
