During the summer of 2019, Connie interned at Rush University Medical Center and worked closely with the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force. At the Task Force, she supported the organization’s work in addressing breast cancer disparities through community outreach, education, political advocacy, and research. She spent the fall of her junior year in Durban, South Africa studying community health and social policy. At Wellesley, Connie stays actively involved as a Sexual Health Educator, a volunteer with Civic Engagement, and as a member of her dorm’s House Council. She also has a working knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese. After graduation, Connie aims to continue to explore community health initiatives and public policy as they relate to global health equity.
