She is writing her thesis on the impact of media discourse on female domestic violence victims’ likelihood to engage with the Algerian legal system. In the summer of 2017, Sarah worked as an intern at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, where she helped organize events and write reports on US foreign policy for the Middle East Program. On campus, she works at the Wellesley College Club and is a part of WAWA (the Wellesley Arab Women Association) and WASA (the Wellesley African Students Association). She speaks English, Arabic, and can understand french. After graduation, Sarah hopes to work for an international organization that focuses on women’s rights, preferably in the Middle East or North Africa.
