Though focusing primarily on jazz, she has been involved in several projects, performances, and tours performing classical, new music, Brazilian, and Latin music. She has received critical praise for six CDs as a leader, with most making several “Best CDs of the Year” lists and four stars from DownBeat as well as being a side-woman on over 30 recordings. Ms. Baum has been awarded many grants and awards for composing, including a 2014 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship.

This is an in-person event, open only to students, staff, and faculty in the Wellesley College testing protocol with their College ID. All others may view the video when posted on the Concert Series YouTube Channel.

After pandemic postponements, we are very excited to have Ms. Baum in residence working with our Jazz combos and Big Band in early April, who will present a showcase of their work as well!
