Wellesley bids a bittersweet farewell to Victor Kazanjian, dean of religious and spiritual life and intercultural education, and Michelle Lepore, associate dean of students, who will be leaving Wellesley the first week of October to pursue outstanding opportunities on the West Coast.

After 13 years at Wellesley, Lepore will join Stanford University as their assistant dean of admission for alumni volunteer relations. In this role, she will lead the strategic development and implementation of a national and international alumni volunteer program for the admission office.

Kazanjian, who in the past two decades served as Wellesley’s dean of religious and spiritual life, co-director of the peace & justice studies program, and most recently as dean of intercultural education, will become the executive director of the United Religions Initiative, a global grassroots interfaith organization aimed at ending religiously-motivated violence and creating cultures of peace, justice, and healing.

In a statement to the Wellesley College community, Dean of Students Debra DeMeis said: “It is impossible to look at any program or office in the division and not see their influence. I hope you will join me in congratulating Michelle and Victor and wishing them all the best in their new endeavors.”
