Prospectively studying Chemistry and Women and Gender Studies

Hi, I’m Sarah, a rising sophomore prospectively studying Chemistry and Women and Gender Studies! I’m passionate about reproductive health and justice as well as expanding equitable care within the healthcare system.

I saw firsthand how much the reproductive system ties to overall health after my own struggles with reproductive health. During my time with the Tetel lab, I am excited to further explore my passions while studying the vaginal and gut microbiomes as they affect physical, emotional, and mental health.

Outside of the lab, I TA in the Writing Department and I’m a part of The Agora Society, the political science society on campus. When I’m not nose-deep in my textbooks, I love taking long walks around the lake, with some swan-watching from afar, and trying new baking combinations like chocolate chip, chai cookies.
